A keen sketcher of ideas, her art pieces are traced from memory and infused with emotion. She began with still life sketches where she crafted drawings from close detail and precision. In maturing as an artist, she studied sketching in its different forms. She became more confident in producing scratchy drawings, going over in layers which showed her overthinking process. Her work is distinctive from the overdrawn lines and contouring of levels. She naturally takes to portraits and has a portfolio of watercolour samples. particularly draws inspiration Leonardo Da Vinci's anatomical sketch work. Her watercolour pencil work is influenced by Juan Gris. Her most prised piece Rainbow is a bold batik wax piece made on silk, with use of colour dye, salts and dutch wax, she combines cultural art with imagery. Her influence from English literature, the work of the Dutch masters and her personal interests in symbolic African art have guided her artist path. Using mixed media she has a prtfolio also with use of perspex glass, applique and mod clay, she is inquistive and tactile, finding her edge in contemporary art.
